What type of glass should I use?

The best glass option for your home depend on a multitude of factors. The most economical option is IG glass. However, if the window is in an area that is has higher levels of sun exposure, it may be worth the cost to opt for Low-E glass. The upgrade from Low-E glass to Low-E3 glass is typically not necessary unless it is obligatory for fulfilling permit requirements in your city.
